As far as I can judge from the video... it looks like Oblivion with guns. Look at the hand motions in the beginning, you sure have seen them already. When he looks down and sees the white ledge - just like one of the Ayleid (or however you spell that) ruins. The animation of changing the weapon - Oblivion.
Now, I'm not expecting ginormous differences between to first-person games, but, well... I expected something a little more different. Don't ask me what, though.
We said the exact same thing about GTAIV...
It's hard not to get hyped for a game you are looking forward to, but we all need to get around it. Buying into the hype = being disappointed when you play it. People, you, me, everyone, alway expect more than will be delivered.
You mean, like making a console with an outdated format (read the comments from R* before you flame me), so that multiplatform games can't even use one fifth of the space available on the enemys console?
Yup, sucks. On the other hand, a smart and cunning move. No matter how good the other console is, multiplat games can't be leaps and bounds ahead.
Exactly.
PC version > PS3 AND XBox360 version. Almost always. Be it higher resolutions, better graphics or mod support - if there is a PC version, I'll buy this one.
You know what this shows? That the Wii is really not much more than an upgraded GameCube with a new controller.
Not that I care, though. Twilight Princess and Brawl look good enough for me.
IF he is right, that's a heavy blow for MSFT.
But AFAIK, Pachter was wrong very often with his last few predictions.
Copy protection is an annoyance.
The honest customer gets f'ed in the A (i.e. SecuRom 6000 error).
Those who want to pirate do it anyway, be it that they have to wait two days longer than usual IF a more advanced protection is used.
Me? I buy the games I want to play. And then I crack them. Why? Because I am a lazy bastard that is a) too lazy to get up and change the disc and b) paranoid about his precious copy to break - data I can restore, a factory perfect copy I can't. ...
PS3HAX.NET
The cancer that is killing what could have been a PS3 homebrew scene.
... and then we have someone like you, moaning about people cussing. Oh, the irony.
I fear this will be pretty much like Sonic Rivals on PSP, which I honestly don't like.
It makes me sad that they seem to have given up on the 3D approach. What was wrong with Sonic Adventure? That one was pretty good. If you take a look at all the 3D releases of Sonic games after SA, you will see one thing - the camera is getting worse with every game. SA didn't have the best camera at times, but it was still fun. Whereas if you play STH2006, there are places that are UNPLAYABLE if you ...
I agree, FFXII was crap. It was like an offline MMORPG. Call me whatever you want, but when I hear Final Fantasy, I think of turn based fights - and I pray that they will stay true to that with the next games.
You forgot Stadium, Stadium 2, Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, this strange organization disk for the GameCube, the puzzle game on N64 and GB, Pokemon Dash, Hey you Pikachu!, Trozei, the 4 editions of Mystery Dungeon, Channel (GC, A GAME ABOUT WATCHING TV!!)...
EDIT: Oh and let us not forget the TWO trading card games for GBC (one was only released outside Japan, though).
If this is true, I will piss in my pants. No, literally.
Dear Nintendo,
platinum is a metal. Diamonds and pearls are not metals, but, well gems of some sorts. Gold and silver were metals. Gold and Silver editions had the special Crystal (gem) edition. Diamond and Pearl editions get a Platinum (metal) editon.
Why do you release a "gem" based edition in a line of "metal" based editions and vice versa?
F- for severe lack of consistency, milking the franchise dry, running out of original Pokemon and ...
Nice, but can we please have a custom in-game music patch? Pretty please?
Damn glad I got mine more than a year ago...
Anybody with an R4 ever played Pokemon? It's hilarious. Save your game, make a backup of it, upload a Pokemon to this worldwide trade-thingy and copy the old save back and get your Pokemon back. Voila, you just cloned your best Pokemon.
I would be shocked, if I hadn't known this already - for quite some time.
EDIT:
Am I the only one that is still puzzled abou the "Why?"? I don't mean to bash the 360, but look at this: SO was on the SNES. SO2 was on the PSX. SO3 was on the PS2. SO and SO2 get remade for the PSP.
Out of 5 SO titles, 4 were on Sony consoles. Wouldn't it make sense, you know, stick to the brand that your games sold good (enough to make sequels) on?
Anyway, I hope ...
Dear Free Radical,
please don't screw this one up - i.e. make it like HAZE.
Yours truly,
someone who doesn't want Battlefront III to be the next HAZE

Seriously, I hope everybody involved puts quality over being obsessed with hyping the sh't out of it this time.
Um, nope. They remade the first two SOs for PSP. The third one, SO: Till the End of Time, is only available on PS2.
If they announced a SO3 port for PSP, please correct me.
OMG
